It took a while for this sculpture to be finished. It consists of nine separate parts, and each part requires attention and time. It originated from a series of old building blocks of a garden wall, Asian bluestone. The base of each shape is a square, varying in shape upwards. Still somewhat sketchy due to the hand-carved structure and the irregularity of the stone.
The repetition creates rhythm and movement. Several configurations are possible, which can also evoke different associations. I do have a preference for a clear pattern (for example as a block or row).
Also suitable for outdoor.
