Two shapes that overlap, merge smoothly. A theme that also returns in later work of mine (see also the sculptures ‘Merge’ and ‘Curvam’).
This sculpture is quite basic, without fuss, carved by hand from red sandstone. And although it is quite compact, the small standing surface still gives it something playful and airy.
I think this red sandstone fits very nicely in a green environment. To prevent the stone from mossy, a place with occasional sun is best.
