Inspiration can be found everywhere. For me, often in the material, but also in what you see around you. This sculpture started with an old stone with a visible history, which I wanted to preserve (partly).
For me, this sculpture is also a reaction to the spirit of the times; the unrest in the world, and the need for safety. A robust building, it looks inaccessible. It has two different sides, which are not visible at a glance. The facade hides what is happening at the back.
