The starting point for this sculpture was the metal blade, made for a cutting machine, but not yet sharpened into a knife. I built the stone (literally) around it. It became a contrast not only in material, but also in shape: sharp and round.
The sculpture is made of a weather-resistantstone (muschelkalk). There are holes in the metal and in the stone, through which are put small metal pins (welding wire, irregular in length) that hold it together.
Very suitable for outdoors.
