Playing with contrasts: shiny smooth, with a rough side. A soft round shape, yet tough.
This sculpture is made of Belgian bluestone. You see the earth layers and fossils. The fracture surface was a layer of carbon in the stone.
The round stainless steel plate is included. But the sculpture can also balance on a completely different surface, see the example photo of the rough stone.
