This small series originated from the possibility to work quietly, in a small format. Using all kinds of residual pieces of bluestone that were still in my studio. The stroke of the small pointed chisel is visible in the skin. Part of the stone has been polished to a glossy black for contrast.
I started with a simple basic shape. The difference in size, ensures that different shapes are created. The repetition makes it a whole. For me this sculpture radiates tranquility, hence the title.
