Boat shapes have always attracted me. They regularly return in my work. They are universal, recognizable to everyone. But you can give it your own twist. I have called this sculpture "Journey". It's a sleek, static shape. But in your imagination you can go to another world with it.
The sculpture is made up of two different parts. The lower part is made of Belgian bluestone, handcarved in structure with the pointed chisel, with a black polished surface. The top part is made of marble. The connection consists of two small metal balls, on which the marble balances loosely. It may also be slanted.
