I like to make series, every now and then. The rhythm of the repetition, but also the variation within the limitation. This series is made up of various pieces of white alabaster. The guiding idea is a top that rises just above the surface.
The shapes are smooth, but deliberately not shiny. I like the powdery, matte, which gives more unity here. The brass oval base provides the connection between the various elements.
The sculpture consists of 8 separate parts of alabaster, which are placed on a matt sanded brass base plate.
